Character Bank is a public domain character project. Using only the names of the characters as a starting point, create a new autonomous work of art, writing, video, or music. Follow along as works compile to interpret each storyline and see the individual characters take shape. What becomes canon? What can't be real? What could be true?

Submissions will be considered for an upcoming issue of Tav. For more information, or to send in your work, email: editors[at]tav.ind.in

Character Bank is a public domain character project. Submissions of creative works including fiction, poetry, art, and music will be accepted for publication.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Make any creative work using characters from the above bank. The characters have no set relations, characteristics, or personality traits. Only the names are required to remain the same, and only the characters in the bank should appear by name. New works need not be completely compatible with previous Character Bank publications, but all works must follow the listed guidelines.

GUIDELINES:
  • 1. Works must contain one character with characteristics and behavioral traits in common with that character in a previous Character Bank work. See archives for previous works.

  • 2. Works must be your property. You must have the right to submit the work to be published and used in a public domain project.
