tav: submissions

Tav is an open and ever-changing collection of creative individuals. Tav releases several issues and issue addenda each year. Submissions are open to any creative form and are accepted year round. Submissions, comments, and questions can be emailed to editors[at]tav.ind.in

We strongly recommend that you purchase a copy of Tav before you submit. Issues of Tav are collections of thematically connected works; reviewing an actual copy will give you a better idea of what submissions make the final cut. Issues come in various formats, from CD-ROMs, to books, to VHS tapes, to downloadable PDFs. Issue themes and formats are not announced in advance, but you can always email us to learn about the latest developments.


	How to Submit Your Work All regular submissions should be emailed to editors[at]tav.ind.in as an attached file. Include your name in the subject of the email. Visual Art: Images should be between 300 and 600 PPI. Images should be sent as a .psd or .tif file. Written Works: Written works should be no more than 4,500 words per piece. Writing should be sent as a .doc or .rtf file. Your name and submission title should appear on every page. Video and Audio: If your video or audio files are available online, you may send us a link in lieu of the file, to allow us to preview the work. If you are sending large files that cannot be emailed, please contact us for FTP access information. Video should be sent as an .avi, .mov, or .mpg file. Audio should be sent as an .mp3 file. To send more than one piece, or an entire album, please compress into a .zip file. Featured Projects: If you have an idea for a Venture in Synergy or a Project String, please send a detailed outline of the project. Ventures in Synergy must be collaborative creative projects that are open to participation by anyone. Project Strings must be part of a currently ongoing series, though featured works may have been completed in the past 5 years. Works can be in any media. When emailing your description, please include how many installments your submitted project will run.


	Opportunities for Publication In addition to full issue releases, Tav has many other venues for the publication and promotion of your work. Every submission will be considered for all available opportunities. 	Deadlines Submissions are accepted on an ongoing basis. The deadline for any specific issue publication is six weeks before the posted release date. Submissions sent after that date will be considered for future releases. Payment Current payment for publication is a 1 year subscription to Tav (2 Issues). Works appearing in a full issue release will receive an additional copy of the issue in which their work appears. Percentage-based monetary compensation for individual works is being planned for future issues.


	Agreement By submitting to Tav, you authorize Tav to publish the submitted work in a full issue or issue addendum. We allow both simultaneous submissions and simultaneous publications of all submitted works; we do not ask for the sole publishing right of any published piece. We will inform you in writing as soon as your work has been accepted for publication. We can not be held responsible if your piece is printed in another publication that does not allow simultaneous publication. It is your duty to inform us of any such conflict, as soon as possible.
